  • Edinburgh Branch of the Theosophical Society in Scotland

12 MARCH ‘The Path’, by Reginald W Machell - Theosophical insight into art.

‘The Path’ by Reginald W. Machell is one of the most profound and symbolic works of

Theosophical art, representing the soul’s journey from material existence toward spiritual

enlightenment. Created during Machell’s time at the Point Loma Theosophical community, the

painting visualises the inner struggles, choices, and stages each individual must traverse along the

universal path of evolution. Every figure and symbol within it conveys aspects of human experience

    - aspiration, illusion, sacrifice, and ultimate service - illustrating that true progress is measured not

by attainment but by compassion and the selfless return to aid others. This talk will reflect on each

aspirant’s journey as they walk the path on this earth, interweaving the Vice President’s own

interfaith and spiritual experiences. Open to all backgrounds and perspectives, this session will

spark deep reflection and discussion around the timeless questions: “Where am I going?”

“Where did we come from?” and “Where am I on my own path?”

Avi Lago, Vice President, Glasgow TS.

  • Supernatural Secrets Symposium

    6th June: Supernatural Secrets Symposium,

not the final one, but a great chance to weave the world of Indian occultism (from Victorian books and elements coming from India and other mystics) to what is the realms of what is the supernatural and what it means to experience the universe in India and the beings sometimes unknown and its impact beyond mythology and in modern psychology. With years of experience in folkloric history and hands on experience in Punjab with my great grandmother and relatives I weave the history and importance of the supernatural and protecting one’s self from harm, black magic, evil eye and harm in ways folk call superstition. With Ayurvedic knowledge and remedies, Vedic astrology and more.
